University of East Kordofan Signs Strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Global Peace and Development Center

In line with its commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and advancing its academic, research, and community engagement mission, the University of East Kordofan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Peace and Development Center on Tuesday, 16 June 2026.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by Dr. Yousif Hassan Nawia Nawai, Director of the Centre for Peace Studies and Human Resource Development at the University of East Kordofan, in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Omer Alamein. The Memorandum was signed on behalf of the Global Peace and Development Centre by its authorized representative.

The MoU establishes a framework for collaborative engagement in key areas, including capacity building, professional training, scientific research, and community service. It also seeks to promote the implementation of joint initiatives and development programs that contribute to human resource development, sustainable growth, and the advancement of peace-building efforts.

During the signing ceremony, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation through the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices. They further emphasized the importance of collaborative partnerships in addressing developmental challenges and creating meaningful opportunities for societal advancement.
